This is a clever little poem and SO true!! I notice that I focus on bending like a willow and pride myself in my flexibility and ability to go with the flow. That is a gift… until it’s a curse, and I find myself bending and flexing too far. It’s not easy to discern that line- when flexing gives way to self- destruction and giving away far too much of Self.
I’m sitting with this one… but, boundary, and partriachal translations into the peaceful woman, are a personal place of exploration. This one definitely is being placed in the come back to pile! Thank you for a good Sunday evening pondering!
