Hey my dear readers!
The last poem I did, 89% of you guys wanted more.
Here’s another one, just for you:
a poem on Boundaries
Boundaries: Your First Line of Defense,
Guard your peace, your soul's expense.
When tough folks give us pain,
Boundaries help us stay sane.
Sonya sailed with dreams so bright,
Yet Mr. Henderson’s demands took flight.
Calls at dawn and midnight strains,
Her work and peace, he tightly reins.
At first, she tried to please his needs,
But soon she felt the heavy deeds.
She knew she had to make a stand,
To set some rules and take command.
“Here’s my time, and here’s my space,
Respect them both, let’s keep our pace.”
With firm words, she drew her line,
And soon, respect began to shine.
Boundaries aren’t walls, they’re simple rules,
Helping us and others too.
They show where we end and start,
Protecting both our work and heart.
Know what stirs your soul,
What makes you whole, and in control.
Communicate with calm and grace,
Your boundaries set, your rightful place.
Consistency, your steady friend,
Enforce your lines until the end.
Pushback comes, but stand your ground,
With your steady voice and firm sound.
For without these lines, life’s zest will drain,
Your mental health will bear the strain.
But with them, life’s a calmer sea,
A space to thrive, for you to be.
So set your boundaries, let them steer,
Through life’s waves, both far and near.
With respect and peace, you’ll see,
Boundaries strong, set you free.
Inspired by an essay of mine.
My dear readers, I’d love to hear from you :)
see you next week 🧡,

Interesting ditty. Maybe some soul could put it to music? 🪇
This is a clever little poem and SO true!! I notice that I focus on bending like a willow and pride myself in my flexibility and ability to go with the flow. That is a gift… until it’s a curse, and I find myself bending and flexing too far. It’s not easy to discern that line- when flexing gives way to self- destruction and giving away far too much of Self.
