Cognitive reframing is powerful. But once you learn to use it, its difficult to be around anyone who does not. Its a massive change, and it takes time to find the right friends.
I think your writing helped me. Sometimes I attempt to "think" my way out of heavy emotional responses, but I end up feeling bad for others, that I may hurt with my interpretation of the situation. It's really hard for me to not consider the probable emotions of others and this thought leaves me immobilized: e.g. not being able to change.
Omg you're back!!! It's been so long
Yessss 👀 miss you too, Kathy!
Hopefully you’ve been alright.
I am 🧡 fighting!
💜💜 Keep your head up. If you just need to vent, lmk.

Finding the right friends is always worth it. Thank you for reading too, John! 🧡
Very true and well explained, Sol. We often forget the power we have in our own lives.
Yes indeed 😌

Kim! It sounds like you have a deep sense of empathy, which is a gift, but it can feel overwhelming when it leads to self-doubt or immobilization.
I find that it’s sorta tricky to balance your own emotional process with the weight of others’ potential feelings.
What’s helped me is remembering that you can care about others without carrying their emotions as your own. Thank you for sharing too 🧡
Thank you. I will try to keep this advice at the top of my mind as I attempt to make decisions. :)
